Zatu Scores & Awards
Scores
At Zatu, we want to be the absolute authority on all things tabletop which is why we use our own Zatu Review Scores and Awards for our products. Our review scores have been kindly provided by our team of dedicated board game blogger experts. When deciding on the score of a game several deciding factors are considered including artwork, complexity, replayability, player interaction and component quality. All these factors are represented as meeple scores under the overall review score. The overall score is indicated in a ring with a number in the middle, this ring changes colour depending on the score awarded. We have three levels of Zatu rating:

Platinum Award
These games are the real la crème de la crème (so good that the English language isn’t enough to describe them). If you want the best, most complete & unique games, look no further than our platinum rated games scoring 90% & above!

Gold Award
Games given a Gold Award are the must-plays that will provide any gamer hours of fun. This level of rating is awarded to those games that score between 80-89% - very good games indeed that we at Zatu highly recommend!

Silver Award
Any game rated between 70-79% is given a silver Zatu Award. Although these may not be the top scorers, they always provide a high level of enjoyment and do include a lot of the classics that can keep the whole family entertained for hours!
Awards
As well as having an excellent Zatu review score, some of our games may even be a given prestigious Zatu award. These awards are presented to the games that are able to give players a unique and exciting experience. We have six different awards that are bestowed upon worthy games:

Spiel des Jahres
The most prestigious prize out there and the award every game designer dreams of winning (after a Zatu Award of course!) These awards are presented annually and are limited to an overall game of the year (Spiel des Jahres), the connoisseur-enthusiast game of the year (Kennerspiel) and the children's game of the year (Kinderspiel des Jahres).
Golden Geek
The virtual home of all things board game, Board Game Geek host an annual awards ceremony celebrating the greatest games of the past year. Look out for this badge to see all the previous winners.
Dice Tower
Dice Tower is an online team of expert reviewers (much like our own) who produce a constant stream of new content on the newest games. The best games are given the honour of the Golden Tower award.
Golden Pear
This award is comes from the guys at Shut up & Sit Down. Like Dice Tower, they are a team of content creators . If they really like a game it is bestowed the Golden Pear award (no I'm not sure where they thought of that either!).
